Visas

Delegates who hold neither an EU passport nor a Schengen visa should check the official Swedish Migration Agency website or the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to see if they require a visa to enter Sweden. Applications for visas to Sweden are made at a Swedish embassy. In places where Sweden does not have an embassy, another Schengen country can represent Sweden, process an application and issue visas on Sweden’s behalf. 

If you need a visa, please note:
– You must apply no earlier than six months before you travel;
– Visa applications may take several months;
– Visa application fees vary. Please contact the embassy or consulate in order to enquire about costs;
– Presentation of the requested documentation does not guarantee that the visa will be issued.

Request of Letter of Invitation
Delegates who require an official letter of invitation from AIDSImpact necessary for the visa process can request one through the AIDSImpact conference 2023 online registration portal. To receive an AIDSImpact 2023 letter of invitation, delegates must first register for the conference and pay in full and make their request by 29th May 2023 (allowing sufficient time for visa processing). The AIDSImpact 2023 letter of invitation does not financially obligate the AIDSImpact in any way nor does it guarantee entry into Sweden. All expenses incurred in relation to their participation in the conference are the sole responsibility of the delegate.
